A Message from Our President/CEO
Saint Dominic’s Family Services has a very long history of providing services to those who are vulnerable and in need of support. One hundred and forty-two years ago, Dominican Sister, Mother Mary Ann Sammon established in Blauvelt, N.Y. what is now known as Saint Dominic’s Family Services (SDFS).
We began as an orphanage for children and have evolved into a multi-faceted social service agency servicing over 2,500 clients annually and geographically stretching from the Bronx to Rockland and Orange County. Our programs include Developmental Disabilities, Family Foster Care, Education (3 schools), Adult Mental Health Services and Community Based Services. Within all of these programs, we service adults, children and families. We pride ourselves on inspiring hope and offering ongoing support and guidance to all who need our assistance.
The talented staff of Saint Dominic’s Family Services, serve tirelessly and are highly committed to offering their expertise to our clients. They work around the clock, serving those who may need our assistance, any time of the day or night, whether for simple everyday needs or a crisis situation.
The connection to our communities we serve is very important to our agency. Whether you are seeking employment, inquiring about becoming a foster parent, looking to provide support (through volunteerism or making a donation), we greatly appreciate your interest in Saint Dominic’s Family Services and we thank you.
Diane Aquino, Ph.D.
